Kengo Kuma's facebook first page

Years ago when I was in first year Architecture I bought a magazine - The Plan - really cool with drawings and details and photos. Then I discovered Kengo Kuma and really liked him. It's common practice to study some Architect or studio via Facebook - it's easy to view photos of projects and grasp ideas and decide if you want to look further or no. Imagine my surprise when I searched Facebook and didn't find any fan/official page for Kengo Kuma. I tought it was a great loss, so I did one, uploaded some photos (yes I know it's not according to author's rights, but... please - it was needed). I quickly forgot about it, unfortunately. And over the years it led a life of its own. Now there're 5 342 people who like it.

 

I feel very childishly happy right now.

A short journey to the BEAUTY world

Recently I met with incredible young women in whose life fashion and beauty plays a huge part.  Two of them have blogs you might find interesting checking out - Miss Vendella and Mademoiselle E . I got very influenced. I've been thinking a lot about what makes a real woman and my conclusion is it is not only about clothes and make-up but this helps. It helps building your style, reveal your character and what's inside. This is what differentiates.

So I decided to write a small post on the topic (out of my blog plan). I'm going to share 4 famous models who I like very much and you'll see why. They are not only beautiful but very charming and hypnotizing. Every one of them has her own style and character.

I'll start chronologically with the first that made an imprassion to me. 

1. Cindy Crawford - out of my childhood into my 'womanhood'

Cindy is also very sporty as you can see :D

2. Giovanna Battaglia - very very charming Italian model. I found browsing the Internet about Annie Hall (you know the  Woody Allen's movie from 1977). At first I was fascinated by the vitnage looks and in the background of the photos - Italian buildings. :)

3. Gisele Bündchen - a Brazilian model. Very positive. Yoga fen.

4. Christy Turlington - my today's "NEW". If I haven't found her today, this post wouldn't exist

Few magical hours in Misty Donostia-San Sebastian

While I was in Bordeaux a bunch of crazy Bulgarians and I took a few-hours trip to Spain just to watch the match between Manchester United - Athletic Bilbao (in a bar), also see the Ocean, then head back to France. Well...

 IT WAS WORTH IT! :)

That was the most romantic place and atmosphere I ever felt anywhere! 

If I ever happen to be married, that'll be part of my honeymoon! You'll see why.

It was about 25 sunny degrees in Bordeaux when we departed  at 3 p.m. (lectures). And we went south to the 9 misty degrees. Boggy was driving the car and knew the city welcomed us with "Well, there's the Ocean, so sad you can't see it". It was a little disappointment at first. But the city is so beautiful. There are many amazingly  decorated buildings and the streets and the urban landscape are Art.

Despite the weather there were many people strolling and some jogging.

In the Bar where we drank beer and watched the game there were 2 girls with their dogs.

Beautiful building of the Belchin school - now abandoned

After the close look of the Bell tower we saw a Sign "To the Fortress". I asked Krasi if he knew there was a fortress here and he denied. He was as surprised as me although he visited Belchin before (obviously only on drink-the-night-away occasions). 

 that's the path to the fortress. steep indeed!

but it's worth it!

It used to be a Fortified village and Early Christian Mission Center, IV-VI century

 and the view...

 it turned out there was an old road leading to this site where the main gate to the fortress used to be

now - no asphalt, no parking, no cars :)

 there's still a lot of work here!

that's the building of a museum near the Church of "Saint Petka". When we reached the door a man told us it just closed. Anyway I will just point out thеse artificial decorations.

That's something I did tonight from a bunch of old photos made during my course in photography a lot of years ago. Digging in the past brings something of value.
My idea of this blog is to show photos and comments of my travelling through Bulgaria and Europe with accents in Architecture/Design.
I also wish to share my works and projects. I hope I'll have the courage to do that and it will be a pleasant view for everybody passing by this spot.
